The largest and most populated southernmost city of Chile, it is also known to be quite "chilly."
Looking to see penguins? This is a perfect choice for both Magellanic and King penguins as well as a perfect opportunity to visit Antarctica either via cruise or by flight.
Weather creates a higher risk for canceled flights, however, is much more direct and offers the chance to step foot on the continent itself via expedition boat.

VALPARAISO
Although this large city is rather run down and known to be quite dangerous, it sure has a lot of character and color.
There is quite a lot of graffiti, but it has a special element of artistry to it that makes it worth looking at.
I myself did not have any issues walking around, but it is important to be safe and always be aware of your surroundings.
