Japan

Home of sake, seafood and scenery, Japan makes for a beautiful, yet shocking experience all around.

Where claw games contain live crabs and vending machines dispense cans of beer, you never know what you might see or experience next in this innovative and abstract country.

Some toilets are directly on the ground with no available toilet paper, while others may offer a control panel of buttons, ranging from heat to a spray wash or even an emergency alarm!

Make sure you know which button to press, or you'll soon end up with a security guard in your bathroom stall.  (And yes, this happened to me.)

Depending on where you want to go or what time of day it is, be sure to check the public transit system as some routes shut down for a few hours after midnight - not what would you expect for a big city like Tokyo!
