The Amazon

The Amazon River is like no other river on Earth.

It is not only the largest by volume, but also the second longest at over 4,000 miles.

It supplies so much freshwater into the ocean that it raises the sea level in the Caribbean.

It is home to a variety of wildlife including the Amazon "pink" dolphin, whose existence dates back to over 18 million years ago.

The Dorado Catfish can also be found here, as well as the flesh-eating piranhas.

Within the jungle also lies a variety of rare and endangered species, such as the Amazonian jaguar, the black panther, poisonous dart frogs, anacondas, sloths, monkeys and more!

Amid the heat and humidity, a trip to the Amazon is one you will cherish forever.
