One of the oldest European nations being founded in the 12th century.

Here you can find great food, incredible beaches, a variety of adventures and some stunning architecture.

Portuguese is one of the most commonly spoken languages, making it a good choice for those looking to learn something new.

Here you will find information and pictures from the following locations:

PORTIMAO

PORTO

MADEIRA, FUNCHAL

With its high cultural and historical value, Funchal is one of Portugal's main tourist attractions and one of Portugal's larger cities.

There is plenty to explore, with an old town, a variety of cathedrals, parks, restaurants and more.

Taking the Monte Cable Car is a great way to see the city and take in panoramic views below.

Once at the top you may choose to ride down in a toboggan, one of the more exciting and adventurous ways of transportation dating back to the 1850s.

It does however end its journey in a town called Livramento, meaning you would then have to walk or get a taxi back to your original destination.

This is easy enough in a town like Madeira!
