Montenegro

Montenegro got its name from the dark mountain forests that cover the land.  The name breaks down into two words, "monte" and "negro" (black mountain).

In addition to the diverse landscape of mountains, sea, forests, lakes and canyons, it also offers an abundance of fortresses, cathedrals and museums to explore.

It is definitely a hidden gem and a location worth paying a visit to!

KOTOR

Fortified, medieval and charming.  Stray cats run amok as you wander through its winding alleys and cobblestone streets.

This old town will leave you yearning for more so you may also choose to take a scenic drive around the bay or hike the Ladder of Kotor, which has 70 switchbacks to the top of the mountain.
